We offer psychological education and re-resourcing services for all layers of the team involved in creating music at a high level. All our services are tailor made to each individual and/or team’s set of needs. We also recognise each situation and indeed, each individual’s creativity is completely unique. Our confidential services can offer strategies to optimise life behind the scenes – offering personal resourcing and space to work through blocks that impact the individual or team. Optimising performance, on and off stage, is the foundation of our approach and our passion is to offer techniques to allow any individual in the music industry to be the best professional and personal version of themselves.

  • "Ali and Denise help you unleash your inner spark. First and foremost they are professional yet your friend. They enable you to take away your barriers as quickly or slowly as you can. You begin to sing with Your Voice and Your Story."

  • "My voice disappeared after the April op. Too many meds that dry me out. I have been resuscitating it with tender but tough lessons from Dr Denise Borland. She lives in Scotland and she teaches me via Skype. Sceptics communicated negative comments about learning-at-a-distance - but the strange thing is: it works. Voice returning. Self-confidence returning. Pleasure in singing returning. Denise is as good to look at as well as to learn from."

1-1 Personal Intensives

A Personal Intensive is a block booking of time to create a personal and professional development programme. This non-residential intensive allows space and time to work at a deep level. Common themes that we cover are confidence vs. anxiety, stress management, crisis, depression, grief. This can also be an ideal setting to work on voice loss recovery, alignment, breath optimisation and performance. All tailor made programmes will include layers of performance psychology education and practical support. We bring a full toolbox of personal development models and techniques and space for awareness building, integration and letting go as well as practical performance skills. A Personal Intensive can be the perfect way to move beyond a certain issue and/or move towards a specific goal.

Who Can Benefit?

This programme can be a perfect starting place for personal and professional development work or ideal for creating space for someone who has a specific goal or issue to move through. This can also be the perfect place for an artist to work through any performance or creative blocks.

This piece of work can be beneficial for anyone who feels stuck or in need of support with a specific goal. This can also be beneficial for anyone going through a big life change or crisis, i.e. a new job or a significant loss. Sometimes in order to fully move forward and let go we need support to resource up and new strategies to put into action.

This short, intense piece of work can help the participant gain clarity, let go of blocks, process past issues and resource themselves for present circumstances. Alongside this level of work, we can offer very practical performance coaching. This can be undertaken as a one off piece of work or as part of an ongoing programme.

How Does It Work?

A personal intensive is made up of 15 hours contact over the space of 3 days, allowing space and time for a deep level of work. The contract for the intensive is discussed and agreed upon with realistic goals being set.

This time can include a combination of all our tools, including performance, coaching and bodywork, but the bespoke programme will be co-created to offer a dynamic and integrative experience.
